The Academy of Film and Theater-Acting Classes

The Academy of Film and Theater, LLC was founded in Spring, 2005. The Academy was founded by Jillian O'Neil, a local native of Mars, Pa. After 15 years of a professional career in musical theater, drama, dance, camera and TV work, Jillian thought it was important to share and teach
the knowledge she has received to the aspiring talent in her home town area. The courses are designed to build self-confidence, teach acting and industry techniques, and personally develop skills and talents of individuals who would like to pursue a career in the arts. Learning what to expect out of a career in the arts, and finding the right business path are things that many acting students never get a chance to learn. Here at The Academy of Film and Theater we prepare you for the industry.

About the Director: Jillian O'Neil is a graduate of The New York Film Academy. Studying dance, theater and voice from the age of 6, Jillian landed her first professional job at the age of 14. In 1994, Jillian traveled to Germany to perform principal roles in Andrew Lloyd Webber's production of "Starlight Express." Jillian has performed in both German and Las Vegas venues of "Starlight Express." Other professional theater credits include; 'Grease," "Cinderella," "Carousel," "Babes In Arms, and "The Best of Andrew Lloyd Webber." Some of the fantastic Directors she has worked with, including nominations for Academy Awards, Tony, and Emmy Awards are: Trevor Nunn, Phil Edwards, Arlene Phillips, Charles Repole, Wayne Cilento, and many others. Jillian has performed in TV commercials internationally as well as documentary films. Jillian appeared on ABC's show "Six Degrees." Choreography credits include original choreography for the opening of The Warner Brothers Movie World in Bottrop, Germany. Member of the Actors Equity Association since 1996
